Hardwood History
After going 20-10 during the 1993-1994 regular season, Jim O'Brien's Boston College team was squarely on the NCAA Tournament bubble. Sneaking in as the #9 seed in the East Region the Eagles first beat Washington State before taking down defending National Champion and #1 seed North Carolina.
It was Bill Curley, Howard Eisley, Gerrod Abram and company outlasting Jerry Stackhouse, Rasheed Wallace and Eric Montross down the stretch to hold off the Heels, 75-72.
Next up was another college basketball blue blood, Indiana. A controlling 77-68 win put BC one win away from the Final Four. A loss to Florida didn't take away from what a special season the Eagles had.
